Datolite
Datolite is a borosilicate mineral which occurs in lava flow tops of the Keweenaw, and can be found along some shorelines and underwater. It looks rough and "brainlike" on its weathered surface, but contains smooth and colored interiors.
The outsides of datolite nodules are very different from the insides!
