MT. KLYUCHEVSKOI VOLCANO

Observers at Klyuchi report a decrease of activity at the volcano
during the past week.  Gas and steam columns rising from two apertures
at the summit reached a height above the crater of 2500 m on October
10 and 800 m on October 14.  The volcano was obscured by clouds on
October 15.  Continuous volcanic tremor with a maximum amplitude of
0.4 microns is being recorded 11 km from the volcano.
