Haven Falls

The waterfall here descends on fractured and altered basalt and conglomerate layers that are part of the lower layers of the Portage Lake Volcanics. The fault is immediately in front of the falls and on the S side of the Gay Lac la Belle Road is Jacobsville Sandstone. The rock under the falls contains alteration minerals laumontite, calcite chlorite and hematite.
