Misconceptions

Geological processes occurring over millions of years formed the continents, oceans, mountains, coastlines and other landscapes, now those processes have stopped.

Continents do not move.

If a volcano doesn't erupt for a hundred years it is "dead" and it will not erupt again.

The mountains and valleys we can see today have always been on Earth.

The Atlantic Ocean is stable; it has been there a long time and does not change.
