I also have a montly column called "Campus Life" that is published in the Daily Mining Gazette, our local newspaper.  Their website is not set up so you can see the columns, so you can only see them if you subscribe!  *Note: When I first approaced the editor about doing a column, I actually asked if I could do a science column about current news in the geosciences.  He said that nobody in this small town would be interested in a geoscience column, but he did ask me to do a column about being a student at Michigan Tech.   I figured it would be some kind of experience, so that's why I do this.
