It is my understanding that this web page, my first serious one, should help you, the reader, visualize how is it that I ended up here and how am I doing with regards to searching for my research topic.  I really hope this helps somehow.  It is, in not "as many words", the story of my graduate life, and it is changing every day, so get ready.  You will also learn more about me and my personal life, together with lots of photos of my favorite volcanoes, so I hope you enjoy them.

This is me, Lizzette Rodriguez...  a puertorrican in Michigan.  I was born in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, "La Isla del Encanto" (The island of enchantment), on 1975.  My home town is Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, where I lived all my life, until I decided to come to the upper peninsula of Michigan to study my Ph.D. in Geology.  Different weather, different people, but a very beautiful place indeed.
