I am in my final semester at Michigan Technological University seeking a master’s degree in Geological Engineering.  My research interests include remote sensing, GIS, groundwater, and access to clean water in developing countries.  I successfully defended my thesis work June 13th, 2008.

While pursuing my degree, my goals were to experience diverse geological problems in various settings, broaden my engineering background to include remote sensing and environmental engineering, and to develop my skills in using a scientific approach to problem solving. 

Outside of academics, my activities include kayaking, backpacking, camping, fishing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, knitting, and playing with my dog Roy.
