About Me

I have recently completed a PhD at Michigan Technological University in the Department of Geological Engineering and Sciences

Volcanic emissions not only impact upon the atmosphere at both local and global scales, but can also provide important insights into the underlying volcanic processes. My current research uses satellite and ground based remote sensing technologies in order to monitor volcanic activity, particularly emissions of gases (SO2) and ash.  I am especially interested in using  multiple sensors and methods to improve monitoring strategies of volcanoes in order to better predict and mitigate their effect on humans and the environment.
