Geothermal Energy, Hazards
and Microbial Life
Welcome to Armeda C. VanDam's HomePage
This website has been
created by me, a Master's International (Peace Corps) Geology student
at Michigan Technological University. This site is going to cover the
topics of research I will be involved with during my Master's and my future
PhD work.
The focus of my work will be with the Hazards of Geothermal areas including
working with the development of Geothermal Energy. As a side interest,
I will be including some study of the organisms that live in geothermal areas
with respect to Evolutionary Biology and Astrobiology.

Geothermal Energy is a renewable energy resource available and readily used
by many countries.
There are numerous hazards working in Geothermal areas, with Geothermal energy,
and living in Geothermally active areas.
