The current alert level is ORANGE.


There has been little activity at the volcano during the night.

One small rockfall signal was recorded by the seismic system at 17:49 yesterday. There was one small VT earthquake at 06:27 this morning, located at shallow depth beneath the crater. No other seismic signals have been recorded.

The summit of the volcano is cloudy this morning and the dome is not visible.

Despite the low level of activity, the volcano is still very dangerous. Follow the recommendations in the alert procedures, and stay away from the Tar River and Long Ground areas in particular.
