Morning Update
0700H 12 December, 1995

The level of seismic activity remained low throughout the night. Only two earthquakes were located, although several very small long period events were detected by the Gages seismic station. One of the earthquakes was placed in the Windy Hill seismic zone while the other was located beneath the Soufriere Hills volcano; both occurred at depths of about 3km. Both earthquakes were small and of volcano-tectonic type. The broadband tremor observed during the day on the Gages seismograph continued throughout the night but mainly at lower amplitude levels.
