Report for the period 16:00 on 24 October
to 16:00 on 25 October 1995

There were ten (10) earthquakes located during the past twenty-four hours. The events were located mainly beneath the Soufriere Hills volcano with focal depths ranging from 0-6km. The events were mainly volcano-tectonic.

One ash eruption was recorded by the seismograph network today. The eruption occurred at 13:25pm and generated ashfall in the Tar River area.

EDM measurements were made at Amersham and Chances Peak today. There were no major changes in the overall trends observed at these sites. Measurements could not be made at Tar River due to the low cloud cover, which obscured the reflector.

Visual inspection of English's Crater by the helicopter was made early on the 25th October. No significant changes were observed in conditions at Castle Peak when compared to observations made on previous occasions.
