There was an explosive ash-venting episode at 12:26 today, with the resulting ash cloud ascending to 20,000 feet above the volcano. A pyroclastic flow travelled down Gages to a point 500 m below the lower soufriere. Otherwise 12 rockfall signals and 10 volcano-tectonic earthquakes were recorded in the last 24 hours.

Residents of Montserrat are advised to keep listening to ZJB Radio Montserrat for information in case of any changes in the state of the volcano.
