Volcanic activity has remained low today. There was a short episode of low amplitude volcanic tremor between 0715 and 0835 this morning. Some reports of an ash cloud suggest that this episode may have been associated with ash venting. Five rockfalls, two hybrid earthquakes and four long period earthquakes triggered the seismograph network over the past twenty-four hours. The long period earthquakes all occurred during the tremor episode.
Residents of Montserrat are advised to keep listening to ZJB Radio Montserrat for information relating to any further developments in the state of the volcano.
