The activity at the volcano has remained at about the same low level as during the last 24 hours. The seismic networks recorded 17 rockfall signals, 2 volcano-tectonic earthquakes and 1 long-period event.
Two episodes of steam and ash production occurred during the reporting period: the first, occurred at about 23:36hrs last night while the second episode occurred at 11:29hrs this morning. The very overcast conditions did not allow observation of the plume.
Residents of Montserrat are advised to keep listening to ZJB Radio Montserrat for information relating to any further developments in the state of the volcano.
