The activity at the volcano has remained at about the same low level as during the last 24 hours. The seismic networks recorded 19 rockfall signals and 3 volcano-tectonic earthquakes.
There were two episodes of steam and ash production during the reporting period: the first, at about 21:25hrs last night, produced a cloud which went up to about 5000ft, and drifted west from the volcano; the second episode occurred at 08:55hrs this morning, and generated an ash cloud rising to about 7000ft altitude.
Residents of Montserrat are advised to keep listening to ZJB Radio Montserrat for information relating to any further developments in the state of the volcano.
