Activity at the volcano has been at about the same level over the last 24 hours. The seismic networks recorded 25 rockfall signals, 2 long period earthquakes and 4 volcano-tectonic earthquakes.
The heavy overcast weather conditions again prevented any sighting of the dome and crater area. Temperature measurements were made in Plymouth near the clock tower. In the deposits from mid-November, at 1.5 m depth, the temperature was still 190 degrees centigrade.
Residents of Montserrat are advised to keep listening to ZJB Radio Montserrat for information relating to any further developments in the state of the volcano.
