A team of scientists from the MVO went into Plymouth today to sample the deposit from the pyroclastic flow on Thursday. Temperature measurements were taken near the War Memorial and the deposit was found to be 237 degrees Centigrade 25 cm below the surface and 386 degrees Centigrade 1 metre below the surface.

Residents of Montserrat are advised to keep listening to ZJB Radio Montserrat for information relating to any further developments in the state of the volcano.
