to 5 p.m. 10 November 1998


Activity remained quiet for the most of the reporting period. A small pyroclastic flow occurred in the upper parts of the Gages valley at 12:32 p.m. today. Apart from this there were 30 rockfalls and 12 volcano-tectonic event recorded over the last 24 hours. This is about the same number of events as yesterday.

FTIR measurements of the gas plume which are now being done as a collaborative effort between Cambridge University and the MVO, continued today.

Residents of Montserrat are advised to keep listening to ZJB Radio Montserrat for information relating to any further developments in the state of the volcano.
