Over the past 24 hours 4 rockfall signals and 7 volcano-tectonic earthquakes were recorded by the seismic network
At 1500 today there was a regional earthquake. A preliminary assessment of its location using the Broadband network suggests that it was located to the south east of Barbuda. The earthquake was felt on Montserrat and on Antigua; it was 5.5 on the Richter scale.
Residents should continue checking Radio Montserrat in case there are sudden developments in the state of the volcano.
