Montserrat Volcano Observatory

The volcano was very quiet today with only 7 rockfall signals being recorded during the period.

EDM measurements made from Windy Hill indicate that the distance to the reflector on the northern flank of the crater continue to lengthen.

COSPEC measurements from the helicopter showed a sulphur dioxide flux from the volcano of 1000 tonnes per day.

Dust levels were low at all the monitoring stations.

Residents should continue listening to Radio Montserrat in case there are sudden developments in the state of the volcano.
