to 6pm 24 April 1998


The level of volcanic activity over the past 24 hours has remained low.

Between 4pm yesterday and 4pm today there were 2 rockfalls and there was 1 volcano-tectonic earthquake.

The gravimeter was installed at Hermitage today and is now producing real-time data. The installation of this equipment is a collaboration between the MVO and the University of Puerto Rico.

Dust levels at all monitoring stations were low today.

Residents are reminded to keep listening to Radio Montserrat for any further information.
