The level of volcanic activity over the last twenty four hours has remained relatively low.

Between 16.00 yesterday and 16.00 today there were 2 hybrid earthquakes, 3 rockfall signals and 9 volcano-tectonic earthquakes. These events were all relatively small and scattered throughout the day.

Visibility was poor for most of the day and no clear views of the dome area were obtained today.

The EDM line between Windy Hill and a reflector on the northern flanks of the volcano was measured successfully both yesterday and today. The line shows continued shortening.

Work continued today on the new GPS installation at Harris and progress is being made on the installation of a second GPS station

Dust levels were low at all sites today.

Residents are reminded to remain alert and listen to ZJB radio.
