The activity at the volcano has remained similar today to recent activity. Between 16:00 yesterday and 16:00 today there were 14 hybrid earthquakes, 11 long period earthquakes, 3 volcano-tectonic earthquakes and 76 distinct rockfall signals. Visual observations of the dome were not possible due to low cloud and ash.
Dust levels at both sites in Woodlands and at St Peter's were very high today. Dust levels in St Johns were raised. At these dust levels it is recommended that ash masks be worn outside or in ashy conditions, especially when attempting to clean.
