Overnight the volcano has remained quiet. The few hybrid earthquakes being recorded continue to occur near the peaks of a 6 hour cycle in the amplitude of the background seismicity. It is assumed that the new dome is continuing to grow in the crater formed by the collapse on Boxing Day. Explosions and pyroclastic flows could occur with no further warning.
