The Volcanic Explanation
The Volcanic Explanation is published every morning from the
Government of Montserrat's Media Centre and released via E mail and fax.
It is a review in layman's terms of the activity at the Soufriere Hills
Volcano over the past 24 hours and is written by Government's Information
Service in conjunction with staff at the MVO. It is designed for
Montserratians at home and abroad who might not understand the technical
terms of the twice daily reports published by the MVO. Whilst not designed
as a news release, the explanation can be used as a basis for news stories
about the ongoing volcanic crisis in Montserrat.
