Subject:      New submarine eruption

The Royal New Zealand Airforce has received notification of a submarime volcano in eruption to the south east of Vanuatu. The location is given as 20 58.8'S 170 17.1'E, which is about half way between Yasur (Tanna Is.) and Matthew Island. No volcano is listed for this area in the catalog. The first reported activity is dated 19 February. No further information is available at this time.
