a clearing house for the activities of the various subsidiary

Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG)

Description:
Established to promote the science of geology, especially
as it relates to petroleum, natural gas, and other energy
mineral resources; further professional development; maintain
open communication between faculty and students. The
student chapter of American Association of Petroleum Geologists,
better known as AAPG, was reinstated in 1998. Our organization
travels to and attends the annual convention held in the spring
of the year. AAPG also sponsors distinguished lecturers from
industry. Students also participate and help plan departmental/club
events such as holiday parties and winter carnival activities.
We have a strong student membership.
