The SPOT Lab houses several worstations of various types:

      • 512 MB graphics memory
    • Dual 1280 x 1024 LCD monitors
  • sunspot (Dell Precision 670n)
    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS 4.3
    • 2 x 3.60-GHz Intel Xeon CPUs (2 cores total)
    • 8 GB (2 x 2 GB, 4 x 1 GB) 400-MHz RAM
    • 2 x 80-GB SCSI hard disks; 10,000 RPM; software RAID-1 configuration
    • NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 graphics card
      • 512 MB GDDR3 memory
    • Dual 1600 x 1200 LCD monitors

    • Windows XP Professional
