AVHRR Processing: AVHRRMAP
AVHRRMAP is a software simlar to SeaWiFSMAP,
optimised for AVHRR imagery. Below is the list of products it creates from Level 1
data:
Channel 1: Multichannel SST
Channel 2: AVHRR Band 1
Channel 3: AVHRR Band 2
Channel 4: Rayleigh Reflectance (used in atmospheric correction)
Channel 5: Band 1-Rayleigh
Channel 6: Band 2-Rayleigh
Channel 7: Brightness Temperature
Channel 8: Cloud Mask
The output is in the form of a .pix file, which must be georectified in the next
step before it is ready for analysis.
