UPSeis

an educational site for budding seismologists

Record, measure, study, and share. Understanding earthquakes—about 55 are recorded every day around the world—helps us understand our planet. Upper Peninsula of Michigan Seismology (UPSeis, pronounced “up-size”) teaches people of all ages about earthquakes, earthquake magnitudes, and seismic waves. We also work with area schools to help students track seismic data on their own.
