Misery Bay is one of several beautiful beaches west of Freda and east of Ontonagon. Together these show exposures varying from almost N-S to almost E-W. They are little visited and relatively pristine places where active beach processes can be observed without much stamp sand. Sandbars form on the lower energy stretches, as shown above.
