Glacial features around Calumet

The generally flat-lying terrain around Red Jacket, Calumet is underlain by the Portage Lake Volcanics, striking to the NE.  The hills are generally glacial deposits, including moraines and kames. These deposits are best preserved in flat places where erosion is weaker.
