My Research

My PhD project centers around active volcanism, with a specific interest in the correlation of SO2 gas fluxes, and thermal and seismic signals in order to better understand eruptive and conduit processes.  I have decided on the following field areas for this project:  Santiaguito Volcano, Guatemala; Stromboli Volcano, Italy; Masaya Volcano, Nicaraqua; and Kilauea Volcano, Hawai'i.

The purpose of this page is to take you through my PhD with me.  It will not always be as detailed as I like, but hopefully it will give you an idea of what life as a volcanology student is like.
