Remote Sensing Stuff
Remote sensing is the activity of using electromagnetic properties to view or interpret phenomena while not physically in contact with it.  Examples range from taking pictures with your digital camera to using radar to find planes in the sky to analyzing satellite imagery to find water on Mars.  This page provides links to various types of information on remote sensing.
NASA's Remote Sensing Tutorial This is a great introduction to what remote sensing is and what it can do for those who are unfamiliar with this technology (as well as for those who are familiar with it).
